Main responsibilities:     
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the overall learning and development strategy in alignment with organisational goals. This will involve collaborating with senior leadership to identify key competencies and skills needed to drive business success.
  • Program Design and Implementation: Design, implement and evaluate effective learning programs that address organisational needs. Overseeing and contributing to the development of training materials, resources, and content to enhance learning experiences.
  • Technology Integration: Explore and implement innovative technologies and tools to enhance the delivery of learning programs, leveraging learning management systems (LMS) to streamline training administration and tracking.
  • Needs Assessment and Analysis: Conduct regular needs assessment to identify skill gaps and training requirements, in addition to analysing trends and recommending best practice and effective interventions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and leaders to ensure alignment of learning initiatives with departmental objectives. Work with your colleagues across the human resources function to support the implementation of effective learning interventions.
  • Delivery: Support the delivery of learning interventions as required and identify opportunities for the development of other colleagues to support learning activities where appropriate.
  • Measurement and Evaluation: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of learning programs and regularly assess and evaluate the impact of training initiatives on employee performance and organizational goals.
     
Requirements:     
  • Experience of designing and putting into action learning and development plans, including setting up and running a dedicated department;
  • Extensive experience in learning and development, with experience working across international locations;
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence in a complex, international organisation;
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and align learning initiatives with business objectives;
  • Culturally sensitive with the ability to work with global, regional and local partners at all levels;
  • Familiarity with learning management systems and e-learning platforms;
  • You have the ability to work at a strategic level and see the big picture, whilst being prepared and able to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in;
  • You can spin multiple plates under pressure and work on several projects with ambitious deadlines;
  • You are analytically minded and have a good eye for detail – using data to drive better decision making for the business.
