Job Title: Product Standardization Engineer

Operating Procedures / Work Instructions:  NA

Responsible for: Meeting the requirements of the company’s product standardization process, product evaluation process, support the Coding team, Engineering team and the Technical Services Department when required in day to day activity. 

Responsible to: Regional Quality & SCD Manager


Principle Activities:


       Understand, develop and promote the Company’s business objectives and participate with total enthusiasm and commitment to achieve and exceed them.

       Ensure regular status reviews are undertaken with the Line Management and relevant Company personnel.

       Agree with Line Management appropriate measures (Key Performance Indicators) to monitor performance to achieve the Company’s objectives, ensure that they are kept up-to date and displayed prominently.

  • Ensure that you fully understand your work requirements and duties and have received the correct supervised training in accordance with the Company’s training requirements to enable you to undertake your duties.




Key Tasks and Responsibilities are defined as:


  • Work with EMEA, APAC and NA coding team to receive list of SKU’s.
  • Identify similar parts as per material properties, dimensional and application properties.
  • Work with engineering team to provide inputs to reduce cost.
  • Look for options of VAVE.
  • Work to reduce cost to the company by identifying family parts.

Provide inputs to the sourcing team to reduce supplier base by eliminating “n” no. Of suppliers for 1 specific part.

  • Strong Engineering background.
  • Excellent drawing reading capabilities
  • Knowledge of GD&T
  • Knowledge of fasteners and material grade is a must.
  • Knowledge of heat treatment & surface treatment.
  • Analytical skills.
