Position overview:

 

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Rollform Supervisor who has supervisory experience. This Position reports to the Manufacturing Manager.

 

Main responsibilities:

 

  • Advance arranging of appropriate tool sets and materials according to works order and details for next job on rollformer.
  • Preparation and submission of suitable First Off samples for QAD approval.
  • Liaise with Wash & Barrelling Plant Operator on a daily basis to optimise workflow requirements & avoid machine downtime.
  • Preparation and submission of Last Off samples for QAD and Tool Maintenance and control procedures.
  • Keep accurate routine records (Quality, Quantity, and Materials) including weighing off and related record upkeep.
  • Entry of production bookings, execution of sub-lot routines and printing off related Batch Production Control documentation.
  • Optimisation of machine and operator output in-line with best practice and operational requirements.
  • Motivate and develop staff on a daily basis by demonstrating own commitment to Company Policy and organisational requirements.
  • With the assistance of Technical and Toolroom, execute the development and manufacture of new products in-line with manufacturing requirements.
  • Work with Preventative Maintenance in establishing maintenance schedules and improvements to machines and associated equipment in-line with H&S, Quality and productivity requirements.
  • Maintain quality and self-certification procedures and records in accordance with the QC Manual and Zero-Defect requirements.
  • Maintain housekeeping and general organisation of manufacturing and sorting areas to a high standard.
  • Maintain disciplinary control including good timekeeping and working practices to a high standard.
  • Assist management in the identification, and introduction of all reasonable measures to improve productivity, quality and working methods and conditions as part of ZERO DEFECT, Continuous Improvement and TQM programmes.
  • Assist management in the control, identification, and introduction of all reasonable measures to maintain/improve Health & Safety within the areas of Supervisory control.
  • Assist management in the identification, and introduction of all reasonable measures to maintain/improve environmental controls as part of the ISO 14001 management systems programme.
  • This specification has been drawn up to cover all the main areas of responsibility, at the present time. It should not be considered as exclusive, as it may be necessary to adjust, add or remove functions at any time, which form a natural/logical part of the overall responsibility.

Skills and Qualifications required:

  • 'O' Levels or GCSE Grade 1 in: Mathematics, English
  • OND or ONC Engineering
  • (Mechanical/Production/Manufacturing or equivalent)
  • NEBSM (Supervisory Management)
  • Communication (Written & Oral).
  • Fault detection & Problem solving.
  • Reading Engineering drawings.
  • Forward planning.
  • Motivational.
