We are at an exciting point in our company growth and are looking to hire a highly skilled Data Analyst where your expertise will transform medical and pharmacy claims data into actionable insights within our SaaS solutions. Your role is critical in utilizing advanced quantitative analysis and SQL skills to impact our product development and contribute substantial value to healthcare data solutions. This remote position reports directly to the Lead Data Scientist..

 What you will be doing:  
SQL and Python Scripting: Craft and refine data processing scripts with a focus on efficiency and scalability. Your role involves advanced SQL techniques and Python scripts for data manipulation.
Data Analysis and Insight Generation: Utilize an extensive repository of national medical and pharmacy claims to derive actionable insights and construct valuable datasets.
Collaboration on Measure Methodology: In concert with peers and product teams, design the framework for measure methodology, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, aiding in the translation of business needs into tangible data outcomes.
Independent Research and Continuing Education: Engage in self-directed learning to remain at the forefront of data analysis trends and methodologies within the healthcare sector. 

Requirements & Qualifications 
To excel in this role, you should possess:         
Educational Background: Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, or an equivalent amalgamation of education and work experience.
Professional Experience: A minimum of three years in a data analyst role, preferably within the healthcare or life sciences industries.
SQL Expertise: Advanced proficiency in SQL, including but not limited to optimizing queries, complex data set manipulation, and reverse engineering of existing scripts.
Python Skills: Intermediate ability in Python, specifically with Pandas and NumPy, for effective data analysis.
Healthcare Data: Experience with and understanding of healthcare claims data are essential. Knowledge of medical coding systems is required, with a focus on the ability to navigate and leverage ICD10, CPT, HCPCS, and other relevant standards.
Data Optimization and SAS Code: Demonstrable ability in database optimization and complex SAS code interpretation, essential for enhancing data process efficiency.
Cloud Platforms: Proficiency in AWS; familiarity with additional cloud services is beneficial.
Predictive Modeling and Machine Learning: An understanding of predictive models and machine learning algorithms is valued, though not the primary focus of the role.
Visualization Tools: Experience with data visualization tools enhances the ability to convey complex information understandably.
Database Systems: Comprehensive knowledge of SQL database systems.
