The ideal candidate is comfortable working in complex wholesale/supplier environments, can quickly identify exceptions and data quality issues, and acts as a bridge between AP operations and automation specialists.

  • Process and review ~5,000 invoices across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established controls.
  • Review and validate invoices related to freight, warehousing, ocean, and logistics, applying strong business and operational judgment.
  • Apply entity routing rules, coding standards, QA checks, and approval workflows consistently.
  • Distinguish between pre-approved transactions and those requiring exception handling or escalated approval.
  • Act as the operational owner and subject-matter expert for AP automation initiatives
  • Monitor automated invoice ingestion and entry processes, identifying errors, edge cases, and data anomalies.
  • Prevent bad or incomplete data from flowing into downstream systems by catching automation failures early.
  • Partner closely with automation specialists (internal, external, or third-party) to:
    • Define automation requirements
    • Improve exception handling
    • Optimize invoice recognition and routing logic
  • Provide feedback and insights to improve long-term automation reliability and scalability.
  • Use advanced Excel, including macros, to support AP processing, reconciliation, exception tracking, and analysis.
  • Understand how macros work, recognize when they misbehave, and troubleshoot or adapt workflows accordingly.
  • Collaborate with finance, operations, and automation teams to improve AP efficiency and data quality.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of AP processes, controls, and documentation.
  • Support scoping and analysis of invoice volumes and sources (e.g., portal vs email, recurring vendors, freight vs warehousing) to inform automation strategy.
Requirements & Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
  • +5 years of hands-on experience with Dynamics SL in an Accounts Payable capacity.
  • Strong Excel skills, including regular use and understanding of macros.
  • Solid business and operational acumen, particularly in warehousing, logistics, freight, or supplier-based environments.
  • Proven ability to manage exceptions, spot errors, and prevent incorrect data entry.

  • High attention to detail with the ability to work accurately in high-volume environments.
  • Proficiency with AI tools like cursor, to automate stuff.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with Keyence RPA, especially Keyence RK.
  • Prior collaboration with AP automation or OCR specialists.
