Position Title: Senior Full Stack Developer
Location: LATAM
What you will be doing:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and scaling LASSO’s platform. You will collaborate closely with the CTO, product leaders, and fellow engineers while contributing directly to architectural decisions and product strategy. This is a hands-on senior IC role for engineers who thrive in ownership, technical leadership, and continuous improvement. You will help drive engineering excellence while delivering impactful features to real-world customers operating at massive scale.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable full-stack features across our platform.
- Contribute to backend services using Python with Django and sometimes with Node.js.
- Build modern frontend experiences using JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js currently; React.js exposure welcomed).
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and data integrations.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases including MySQL and MongoDB.
- Apply strong system design principles to improve reliability, performance, and maintainability.
- Participate in code reviews and uphold engineering quality standards.
- Take ownership of key product areas and guide technical direction.
- Improve performance and scalability of core systems.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and platform evolution.
- Research and evaluate new technologies to support roadmap initiatives.
- Continuously improve development practices and coding standards.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Copilot, etc.) as a core part of your workflow to accelerate delivery and quality.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Operations.
- Mentor teammates and provide technical guidance when needed.
- Balance technical rigor with business impact.
Requirements & Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- 5+ years of professional experience as a full-stack software engineer in production environments.
- Strong backend experience with Python with Django
- Proficiency in frontend concepts (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Proficiency with Vue.js or React.js exposure welcomed
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Solid understanding of application architecture and system design.
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Demonstrated experience using AI-powered development tools (Cursor, Copilot, or similar) as part of daily engineering work.
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with Docker, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines
