Position Title: Senior Data Engineer
Location: LATAM
What you will be doing:
We are seeking a Data Engineer to own and evolve our end-to-end data function, spanning data engineering, analytics, governance, and customer-facing reporting. This is a highly hands-on role that combines pipeline development, data modeling, BI enablement, and embedded analytics. You will play a key role in shaping our data strategy and architecture while delivering reliable, trusted datasets that power internal decision-making and customer experiences. This position works closely with Product, Engineering, Finance, Sales, Operations, and Customer Success to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and actionable.
- Design, build, and scale ELT pipelines from MySQL, MongoDB, and internal systems into Snowflake.
- Implement and maintain a Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) to support analytics and reporting use cases.
- Develop analytics-ready data models that are consistent, performant, and trusted across teams.
- Optimize Snowflake performance and cost through thoughtful warehouse sizing, workload management, and governance.
- Establish data reliability practices including orchestration, monitoring, testing, CI/CD, and incident response.
- Define ownership and recovery processes for pipelines to ensure high availability.
- Own internal BI by delivering dashboards and insights for Product, Finance, Sales, Operations, and Customer Success.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to build scalable, accurate embedded reporting experiences for customers.
- Create standardized metric definitions and curated datasets used across internal and external analytics.
- Support customer-facing operational reports directly within the application.
Requirements & Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data platform roles.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake, including data modeling, performance tuning, and cost management.
- Strong SQL skills and experience building analytics-ready datasets.
- Practical experience implementing Medallion-style architectures.
- Experience delivering embedded or multi-tenant analytics for product platforms.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with data reliability practices such as orchestration, testing, CI/CD, observability, and incident management.
- Design, build, and scale ELT pipelines from MongoDB.
- Use of AI tools (copilot, )
