 POSITION:                           Traffic Assistant

DEPARTMENT:                     Traffic

LOCATION:                           Worthington

SALARY CLASS:                  Salaried Non-Exempt

 

Principle Responsibilities:

Assist Traffic Manager in day to day responsibilities, must communicate effectively with corporate teams, shipping, scheduling, outside vendors, and current carriers concerning status of trucks. The Traffic Assistant also must assist in coordinating day to day processes for shipping needs, develop and maintain reports, and attend meetings as needed.  

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with transportation and scheduling preferred
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in written form in English.
  • Computer Skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Effective time management skills
  • Employee maintains the ability to perform efficiently and follow through on all details, in a fast-paced, customer focused environment.
  • Qualified candidate must be self-motivated and willing to stay focused under stressful/time sensitive situations; must have excellent interpersonal skills and a strong willingness to learn

 

Education Requirements (if applicable)

 

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Some college preferred.
  • Resume required

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:  
Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;  
Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;  
401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;   
Base hourly salary range: $22-$24 
Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
