General Description:

Supervise employees, assign trailers to specific doors and arrange product to be loaded, inspect trailers for temperatures, enforcement of safety policies of load dock area. Inspect trailers for appropriate temperature and consistency. Utilize company’s computer systems and databases for tracking product. Manages product inventory on a daily basis. Supervise, evaluate and direct personnel in performing duties according to sound operating principles and company policies and procedures. Anticipate and determine causes of delays in shift operations and take appropriate actions to meet schedules. Work closely with other supervisors and management to promote efficiency (on time delivery) and teamwork in each department and throughout plant facility.

Deals with USDA personnel on a daily basis. Complete documentation and daily paperwork/payroll. Customer Service- Provide ETA for drivers as requested. Perform various other duties as needed or as assigned.

Required skills:

• Supervisory skills; good interpersonal relations; ability to handle conflict.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to speak multiple languages beneficial.

Education Requirements (if applicable)

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• College experience recommended, but not required.
