HR Coordinator II
Description
Responsibility:
- Serve as primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators. Coordinate transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums and plan administration.
- Coordinate daily benefits processing. Handle enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, rollovers, distributions, loans, hardships and compliance testing. Oversee maintenance of employee benefits files, maintain group benefits database and update employee payroll records.
- Gather employee data and oversee the processing of monthly billings.
- Perform benefits’ plan audits.
- Act as a liaison between employer and employee, overseeing employee relations. This involves receiving and effectively handling employee complaints, escalating these complaints to the level of disciplinary or legal action when necessary, updating employees with any changes in company policy, advising supervisors on treatment of staff and company policies, responding to employee violations of policy and generally helping to resolve conflict in the workplace.
- Investigate employee relations concerns.
- Assists hourly, SNE and salaried personnel with assistance in conflict resolution.
- Prepare investigative documentation, including interview notes and summary of findings.
- Conduct exit interviews and prepare exit packages.
- Comply with all Federal and local regulations that apply to the role.
- Perform any additional duties related to the role and/or Department as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business Administration or Labor Relations
- Three (3) years related work experience, preferable in a Manufacturing Industry.
- Knowledge of all pertinent federal and local regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefits programs, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, workers' compensation/FSE, Medicare, SINOT, Choferil, and Social Security and DOL requirements.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
- Strong Excel user.
