Essential Duties
 
  • Supervise broiler service technicians and biosecurity compliance officer.
  • Train and develop service technicians and supervisors.
  • Implement Pilgrim’s broiler management and bird health programs. Monitor adherence to those programs by personnel and contract growers.
  • Perform daily evaluations of service routes and farm performance as it relates to live cost.
  • Monitor day-to-day flock health and plant efficiency.
  • Oversee complex housing program.
  • Work with hatchery management to ensure proper placement density is met.
  • Ensure all animal welfare guidelines are followed.
  • NAE Program Responsibilities

 

  • Communicate any elevated mortality to Live Production Manager.
  • Ensure that any antibiotic treatment is administered in accordance with veterinary prescription and directions.
  • Ensure annual training of contract growers is completed.
  • Serve as Process Verification Point for kill sheet in absence of Live Production Manager.  

 

  • Job Qualifications
  •  
  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree in a poultry science or related field.
  • Typically requires greater than 2 up to 5 years of DIRECTLY RELATED experience. Experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirement.
  • 5-7 years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. SAP experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Current driver’s license and good driving record.
