Pricing Manager
The Pricing Manager is the organizational owner of Pricing for the brand. This role is responsible for building the pricing strategy from the ground up, defining frameworks, processes, tools, and governance that maximize revenue, margin, competitiveness, and customer value perception across all markets (enterprise, regional, and country-level).
This is a high‑visibility, high‑impact individual contributor role that combines strategic leadership with tactical execution, requiring someone comfortable designing long-term pricing strategy while also rolling up their sleeves to implement, maintain, analyze, and iterate pricing decisions in real time.
You will partner closely with Senior Leadership, Merchandising/Product, Finance, Strategy, and Operations to build and maintain a pricing system that is data‑driven, competitive, and aligned with brand, margin, and growth objectives.
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:
Pricing Strategy & Ownership (Strategic)
- Build and own the companywide Pricing strategy across regions
- Develop pricing frameworks and governance models
- Set up value‑based pricing methodologies and competitive benchmarking models
- Lead pricing guardrails, rules, and approval workflows
- Partner with Leadership to identify pricing opportunities that increase revenue, margin, and competitiveness
- Manage and measure customer price perception
Pricing Process Design & Systems (Strategic + Operational)
- Improve data collection and automation systems
- Implement tools, dashboards, and analytical models
- Own cross-functional pricing communication
Analytics, Insights & Optimization (Hands-on + Strategic)
- Conduct competitive analyses, market scans, and cost/margin analyses
- Build pricing models for revenue, margin, and elasticity
- Monitor post‑implementation price performance
- Provide insights on customer sensitivity and competitive dynamics
Execution & Implementation (Hands-on)
- Implement price changes in systems
- Reconcile pricing data weekly
- Manage external data vendors
- Resolve operational pricing escalations
- Maintain documentation of pricing workflows
Cross-functional Leadership (Individual Contributor)
- Serve as the pricing subject-matter expert
- Partner with Finance, Product/PD, Ops, Marketing, and Digital
- Support system enhancements related to pricing
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Data Science, or related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in Pricing, Strategy, FP&A, or Analytics.
- Experience owning or designing a pricing strategy preferred.
- Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, analytics tools, and BI platforms.
- Experience with SAP or similar systems a plus.
- Strong balance of strategic and tactical capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills for leadership audiences.
