East Plant Onboarding Supervisor - 2nd Shift

In this key role, you'll serve as the frontline leader overseeing the onboarding program and helping new team members succeed from day one! At Pilgrim’s, we believe safety, engagement, and development are critical to building a strong workforce. As an Onboarding Supervisor, you will oversee the onboarding process from hire through qualification, ensuring new team members receive the training, support, and resources needed to become successful contributors to our operations. Most of your time will be spent on the production floor supporting new hires, monitoring training progress, and driving successful onboarding outcomes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Ensure new hires meet all safety policies and expectations.
  • Lead and manage the onboarding program from day 1 through 60 days or until qualification.
  • Track onboarding performance, including training progress, qualifications, attendance, retention, and turnover.
  • Spend most of your time on the production floor supporting new hires, monitoring training, and driving successful onboarding outcomes.
  • Partner with HR, Operations, and supervisors to deliver a consistent and effective onboarding experience.
  • Build strong relationships with new hires, supervisors, and leadership teams.
  • Drive key onboarding metrics, including 30- and 60-day retention, safety observations, JSA completion, and qualification readiness.
  • Ensure onboarding documentation, training records, and qualification requirements are completed accurately and on time.
  • Reinforce safety standards and promote a positive, engaged work environment.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to support employee success and development.
  • Participate in HR and company committees.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

What You'll Need:

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED; College Degree in related field preferred.  
  • Experience: 1 or more years of previous supervisory experience with leadership skills of 20+ employees preferred. Poultry or food industry experience is a plus.  
  • Skills: Effective communication both orally and in writing, capable of independent decision making, must have basic computer knowledge, ability to manage multiple priorities.  
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

  • Base salary range of $49,585 - $60,246
