Accounting Specialist – Yield Clerk
Key responsibilities are to work closely with operations and accounting management, to assure the maintenance of internal control procedures, standards, and compliance as it pertains to the Sarbanes Oxley Act and to insure adherence to generally accepted accounting principles and all other duties assigned by manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Gathering and preparing yield production data on a daily and weekly basis for accurate reporting of production yields.
- Provide data for plant management and corporate.
- Reconcile production accounting activities related to inventory.
- Analyze production variances and report weekly to plant management.
- Assist controller with all phases of accounting functions.
- Other accounting duties as required by management and supervision.
- Backing up for other areas and departments as needed.
- Provide assistance to production, purchasing and accounting staff as needed.
SKILLS:
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with acute attention to detail.
- Ability to problem solve, adapt through change and multi-task.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently.
- Experience with food/manufacturing production is preferred.
- Must be able to maintain high level of accuracy.
- Proficient professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Complete tasks within the allotted timeframe.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-2 years clerical accounting experience preferred.
- Must be able to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
- Must be able to examine and verify financial documents and reports.
- Must be able to prepare a variety of reports and analyses.
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of SAP or comparable ERP system is a plus.
- Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, methods and equipment.
- Knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and practices.
The typical hours and schedule for this role are 4:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays will be required depending on business needs.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma/GED; Associates Degree preferred.
