WASTE WATER MAINTENANCE HOURLY
Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Preventive Maintenance (PM):
Preventive Maintenance (PM):
• Performing routine inspections, lubricating machinery, changing fluids, and testing equipment to prevent failures before happens.
Equipment Repair:
• Troubleshooting malfunctions, rebuilding pumps, replacing impellers/seals, and repairing underground pipes or electrical controls.
Collection System Upkeep:
• Cleaning sewer lines, removing blockages, and operating equipment like jt flushers to ensure a steady flow of wastewater.
Plant Maintenance:
• Servicing physical structures, tanks, valves, grit chambers, and UV disinfection systems used throughout the five stages of wastewater treatment.
• Communicate with production management and personnel to diagnose problems and to determine potential mechanical problems
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Complete assigned tasks with accuracy and efficiency, in regards to time as well as resources
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Technical school preferred.
BASIC SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:• Minimum 1-2 years industrial maintenance experience
• Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment
• General mathematics ability required to perform job
• Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings
• Basic knowledge of standard and metric measures
• Must be able to work assigned days/shifts (including some weekends)
