User Documentation Specialist

Barracuda’s greater go-to-market team which include process and business system user manuals, videos, and announcements. You will work cross functionally with the systems teams and the business subject matter experts to ensure the materials are effective, relevant, and able to support the sales and greater go-to-market team with their daily activities.

What you’ll be working on:

  • Create and maintain initial user self-help documentation library, including demo videos for our go-to-market business systems and processes (focused on lead to order); key stakeholders will be the global sales teams.
  • Provide appropriate and comprehensive explanations, examples, and demonstrations.
  • Will include documenting user processes: complete, catalog and publish real-time user documentation updates
  • Maintain existing user documentation in real-time by making sure they remain accurate and up to date with the latest system and process changes. This includes capturing all updates from bi-monthly sprint releases and providing announcements, project delivery, and new product introduction.
  • Create user documentation and videos for new and on-going go-to-market company projects, initiatives, and new product introduction.
  • Work closely with business and key stakeholders to ensure the documentation meets the needs of the project or release.
  • Attend meetings to remain up to date with the project’s changes, timeline, and release dates.
  • Work with theater sales enablement teams to determine the most effective process and system self-help training delivery method (video, user manual, or reference guide). This will be complementary to any sales enablement led live training.
  • Provide appropriate and comprehensive explanations, examples, and demonstrations.
  • Ensure all training documents are created and delivered to the project owner according to agreed upon timeframe.
  • Provide knowledge support to the the sales enablement as new training material is delivered.

What You Bring To The Role?

  • College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-3 years of user documentation, training, or relevant transferable experience also acceptable.
  • Salesforce (ideally Lightning) experience (Salesforce CPQ experience would be a great addition)
  • Experience understanding different personas and what is relevant to them based on their role.
  • Ability to walk through a process end to end, while comprehending the relevant steps to the specific user.
  • Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication experience. You will set a high bar in terms of communication effectiveness.
