A Director at Barracuda is strategic, detail-oriented, and a function leader. The ideal candidate will have experience developing a Global Procurement Team with specific skills around Indirect Procurement.  The candidate will manage commodity strategies as well as develop procurement processes. 

The Director will partner with business stakeholders across the organization to develop supplier relationships.  The candidate will grow supplier partnerships and mitigate vender reliance.  The Director will be part of a newly formed Global Procurement team and will take part in developing every aspect of a world class group.  

 A successful candidate has deep experience in Supplier Management, developing efficient processes, working cross functionally, strong initiative, creating documentation, and working within an organization that works hard and plays harder. 

What you’ll be working on 

  • Manage corporate suppliers responsible for, but not limited to, IT Spend, Marketing Spend, Facilities, etc.…
  • Collaborate with Team to develop infrastructure to manage PO’s, NDA’s, Contracts, and other related purchasing processes.
  • Working with business partners, conduct QBR’s with key spend suppliers.
  • Working with business partners, recommend opportunities for optimization/efficiencies.
  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives, including market analysis, supplier identification, RFx processes, negotiations, and contract management.
  • Drive supplier consolidation and manage supplier relationships to achieve cost savings and value optimization.
  • Communicate the new procurement processes, policies, and guidelines to relevant stakeholders, including procurement team members, finance, operations, and other departments. Provide training and support to ensure a smooth transition and understanding of the new process.
  • Leverage procurement software or ERP systems to automate and streamline the procurement process. Implement tools for requisitioning, supplier management, contract management, and reporting to enhance efficiency and data visibility.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to supplier performance, market volatility, compliance, and quality issues.
  • Develop and manage the indirect procurement budget, tracking spending against targets, and implementing cost-saving strategies.

What you bring to the role 

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field (a master's degree is a plus).
  • Extensive experience in indirect procurement, with a focus on strategic sourcing, vendor management, and team leadership.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful procurement strategies, driving cost savings, and process optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management, and negotiation techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve results.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of market dynamics, trends, and supplier landscapes.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software, ERP systems, and other relevant tools.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) are desirable.

The anticipated on-target earnings range for this role is $200,000 - $218,000. Actual compensation offered will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, the budget for the position, and applicable employment laws.
