About the Role:  

   

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Provider Relations Specialist responsible for field and office activities in providing education and supporting the IPA’s providers network. The Provider Relations Specialist will be working with contracted providers on managed care operations and to comply with IPA and Health Plan standards.  

You are:  

  • Experienced in healthcare, provider engagement, Medicare, Commercial and Medi-Cal managed care systems
  • Relentlessly resourceful. You enjoy taking ownership and can get things done without excuses. You are resilient, detail-oriented, and truly believe that no task is beneath you
  • Possess strong organizational skills, plans daily activities, and demonstrate initiative with minimal supervision to complete projects
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and biased towards action. You enjoy thinking about complex and ambiguous problems and can execute consistently and add compounding value
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong priority management, work independently, effectively manage time and resources

   

What You’ll Do:  

  • Develop trusted relationships and maintain open lines of communication with providers through in-person visits, emails, phone
  • Conduct provider onboarding, orientation, and ongoing educational training throughout the year to ensure providers remain compliant.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure provider inquiries are resolved in a timely and effective manner
  • Create detailed reporting of provider visits, inquiries, trainings, and growth opportunities
  • Problem-solve and identify ways to address provider issues timely and effectively
  • Work cross-functionally with internal departments
  • Must be able to travel frequently to the assigned service areas
  • Other duties assigned by department leaders

   

Qualifications:    

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience preferred
  • 2-3 years experience in provider network scope of services
  • Strong understanding of Managed Care Operations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions:  

  • Our organization follows an in-person work structure where the expectation is to work in office on a weekly basis. The office is located at 9700 Flair Drive, El Monte, CA 91731.
  • This position is a field representative position and requires traveling depending on assignments or projects. This could be 2-3 times per week, and also requires monthly visits to provider offices.
  • Occasionally required to work overtime and /or during the weekend. Must always have and maintain a reliable source of transportation.
  • The target pay range for this role is $65K - $75K annually. This salary range represents our national target range for this role.
