About the Role:  
 
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Data Operations Manager to oversee our data operations team. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, expertise in operational report building, and advanced proficiency in SQL. This role will be critical in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of our data operations and reporting processes, contributing to the overall success of our healthcare data initiatives.
 
What You'll Do:  
  •  Lead and manage the reporting team in building, managing, and modifying SSRS reports to meet the organization's needs.
  • Oversee the clean-up and optimization of the SSRS report inventory to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the reporting team and various operation teams, understanding their requirements, parsing requests, and providing clear guidance to team members.
  • Prioritize and manage incoming requests and projects, questioning and pushing back on requests when necessary based on a solid understanding of the business.
  • Spearhead the migration from SSRS to Power BI to enhance the organization's reporting capabilities.
  • Guide the reporting team in transitioning from SQL to Databricks to leverage advanced data processing and analytics.
  • Handle ad hoc requests from the operation team, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of insights.
  • Manage a team of analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the department's goals and objectives are met.
 
Qualifications:  
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data operations, analytics, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong expertise in SQL query, SSRS, and SQL database structure.
  • Proficiency in data lake technologies such as Databricks and Snowflake.
  • Experience with BI reporting tools like Power BI and Tableau.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare industry concepts and data, including IPA operations, HCC, HEDIS, claims processing, UM, etc.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.
 
You're great for this role if:  
  • Experience with programming languages and data analysis tools such as Python.
  • Prior experience working in a healthcare-related organization or with healthcare data sets.

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions:  
  
  • This position is remotely based in the U.S. 
  • The target pay range for this role is: $110,000 - $135,000. The salary range represents our national target range for this role.
