Title: Data Scientist III

About the role:      
 
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist who will support our Product and Advanced Analytics teams with insights gained from analyzing feedback from our products. The ideal candidate is adept at using data science to design, test, and implement product analytics and make suggestions to improve user experience. The candidate must have at least 5 years of experience working with product analytics, and a foundational understanding of healthcare The candidate must have strong experience implementing measures in Python from a variety of sources (e.g., scientific and/or health literature, measure specifications, etc.). The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes. 
 
Responsibilities:
  1. Technical Leadership and Development:
    • Lead technical initiatives for the HCC Engine, serving as the Risk Adjustment SME.
    • Design data solutions, QA code, and ensure precision and accuracy.
  2. Analysis and Communication:
    • Conduct complex analyses, provide insights, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  3. Project Management and Integration:
    • Prioritize and scope development projects, integrate new data sources, and manage upgrades.
  4. Mentorship and Support:
    • Mentor junior Data Scientists, oversee their work, and facilitate peer reviews.
  5. Productionalization and Operations:
    • Transition solutions to production, implement efficient processes, and support Operations.
  6. Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting:
    • Engage with stakeholders, present updates, and align efforts with organizational goals
 
Qualifications:  
  • 5+ years of experience in product analytics and data science
  • Advanced Python coding experience and proficiency in SQL
  • Mastery of end-to-end pipeline development
  • Rapid prototyping ability
  • Ability to be effective liaison between data engineers and senior leadership
  • Advanced degree in relevant field and 3+ years of data science experience / or bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in data science role
  • Machine learning / predictive modelling experience
  • Capabilities as a technical lead and mentor to more junior team members
  • Expertise in experimental methods (A/B testing, hypothesis testing, etc.)
  • Ability to present complex findings to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to guide projects through their lifespan (from proposal to production)
Nice If You Have:  
  • Pyspark experience
  • Experience with data visualization tools like PowerBI
  • Experience understanding product usage (how people interact/fail to interact with various platforms)
  • Cloud/lakehouse platforms (e.g. Databricks) experience
  • Healthcare industry experience
  • Experience with healthcare coding systems (ICD10s, CPT4, etc.)

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions:    
  • This position is Remote and can be located anywhere in the United States
  • The annual total compensation target pay range for this role is: $140,000 - $160,000. This salary range represents our national target range for this role.
