Title: Financial Reporting Manager  

Department: Finance - Accounting  

About this role:  

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Reporting Manager to assist in managing the financial reporting process within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the review and preparation of internal and external financial statements in adherence to US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations. The candidate will ensure the timely completion of quarterly and year-end closing processes, coordinate with internal departments and external auditors, and maintain compliance with relevant laws and regulations.  

What you will do:  

  • Assist in the review and preparation of internal and external financial statements following US GAAP and SEC guidelines.
  • Manage our reporting team to ensure we meet all financial reporting deadlines.
  • Conduct research and prepare technical accounting memos to interpret and apply relevant technical guidance.
  • Stay updated on new accounting pronouncements and SEC developments to ensure our financial reports meet accounting and SEC standards
  • Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely completion of audits and compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with various internal departments to collect, analyze, and report information necessary for internal and external financial reports.
  • Review and prepare schedules required for reporting and executive review.
  • Ensure compliance and integrity of financial data with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Maintain and organize financial databases to ensure accuracy and accessibility of financial information.
  • Uphold compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) regulations.
  • Assist with ad-hoc procedures and special projects as needed.
  • Ensure accurate elimination of intercompany balances.
  • Review monthly corporate journal entries.

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial reporting or accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and SEC regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting software and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.
  • Experience in managing and leading a team is preferred.

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions:  

  • Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where the expectation is to work both in office and at home on a weekly basis. The office is located at 1668 S Garfield Avenue, Alhambra, CA 91801
  • The total compensation target pay range for this role is: $140,000 - $160,000. This salary range represents our national target range for this role.
