Starting Salary: $125,000-$145,000/annum
The Opportunity:
The Senior Sourcing Specialist is responsible to drive strategic sourcing initiatives, lead contract lifecycle management, and strengthens supplier performance across the organization. A successful candidate should have experience with sourcing events, category analysis, contract negotiations and supplier relationship management. Experience in the fuel/refinery/energy space is also desired.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies that deliver measurable cost savings and operational value Provide strategic inputs and supply market information to guide business decisions and act as a conduit for procurement activities
- Lead cross-functional teams through sourcing events, supplier evaluations, and award recommendations.
- Negotiate commercial and legal terms, including master agreements, SOWs, SLAs, NDAs, and other contractual documents
- Work with appropriate operations team to identify areas of opportunity
- Quantify savings related to opportunity and work with business team to ensure savings are realized through vendor management and budget process
- Conduct ongoing business reviews to ensure suppliers are performing to contracted obligations and service levels
- Lead the suppliers and stakeholders of the supply chain through effective engagement and communication by delivering supplier awareness programs.
- Build strong relationships across regions and functions, influencing stakeholders at all levels.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or technical discipline
Requirements:
- Experience in supporting supplier portfolio development
- Customer-focused with excellent written, listening and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
- Proven record of driving cost savings throughout a complex organization
- Ability to structure and manage complex projects
- Service-oriented mindset, with a desire to ensure client satisfaction
- Ability to think strategically, conceptually and analytically to assess problems, identify and consider potential solutions, and make timely recommendations
- Years of work experience: 6 - 10 years of experience in a supply chain organization with a focus on spend management in supply portfolios spend; development and implementation of supply strategy; contract and supplier performance management.
- Data analytics, sourcing, procurement systems, and customer service.
- Business software applications: Microsoft Office, APTTUS/Agiloft or other contract management software, and SAP or other purchasing software.
