- Conduct design workshops with prospects / customers wherein you not only derive the Kubernetes related needs but also demonstrate the benefits and capabilities of the NKP, helping potential customers understand how it can meet their specific needs.
- Implement NKP as per services offered. Map the customer needs to NKP and configure the features and capabilities of the NKP while also supporting partner organizations in their cloud native journey.
- You will take ownership of business outcomes of virtualization & automation projects through requirements capture and technical governance.
- You will craft detailed design documents and perform hands-on implementation work.
- You will work with our project managers on the project budget and all aspects of efficient delivery.
- You will provide technical input and review our projects in a pre-sales stage.
- Work closely with Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams to stay informed on product updates, market trends, and customer feedback, enabling you to effectively promote the NKP.
- Collaborate with various Nutanix teams to showcase and implement the Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP) to potential clients.
- You can display commercial awareness by identifying future services opportunity within a project or customer.
- You actively drive practice activities such as the development of standard methodologies, intellectual property capture and creation, quality assurance, and peer reviews.
- You maintain current knowledge of the entire Nutanix product stack.
- Lead client escalations.
- Experience to architect complex data center solutions with multi-site cloud architectures from the ground up.
- Utilize your expertise in Kubernetes and other cloud technologies to demonstrate why Nutanix is the platform of choice for container-based workloads.
- Demonstrate proficiency on Linux and experience working with hyperscalers like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Familiarity with CNCF technologies ~ surround Kubernetes ecosystem.
- Experience implementing and managing microservices platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes (e.g. Rancher, Openshift, etc.).
- Excellent understanding of networking and storage concepts as applicable to designing Kubernetes clusters.
- Understanding and ability to demonstrate CI/CD pipelines with NKP and GitOps implementations.
- Present your knowledge and skills in a professional and engaging manner to effectively communicate with teams and stakeholders
- Excellent communication and writing skills and can develop advanced architectural solutions design documentation
- Possesses influencing and negotiating skills and is seen as a technical authority by customers and peers
- Validated working and hands-on experience with Nutanix AHV or other Industry-leading virtualization products (e.g. vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, NSX, vSAN, SRM) within large-scale IT production data centers.
- At least 8 years of experience in designing and implementing data center infrastructure virtualization projects with regards to compute, network, and storage.
- Industry Certifications: CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) and/or CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer) would be very desirable. Specific knowledge of Kubernetes tools/products such Helm for application packaging and Flux CD for cluster configuration/automation would also be desirable.
- A Nutanix NCP/NCS or VMware VCAP would be highly regarded.
- Industry Certifications for Datacenter and Networking (e.g. LPIC, MSCA, CCNA, and equivalent)
- Good background in Windows and Linux systems administration
