The Opportunity
Nutanix is looking for technology pioneers for our Platform Solutions team to build Software Solutions that will enable us to run Acropolis OS seamlessly across multiple Hardware Platforms.
The ideal candidate will have excellent programming skills and a proven track record of designing and building features/products, in the areas of Management, Diagnostics, Monitoring of Data Center Hardware like Servers, Storage Appliances, Switches, Routers etc.
This role provides a unique opportunity to work on and interact across all layers of the product from a compatibility & interoperability perspective, viz. Storage & Compute Hardware, Firmware [BIOS, BMC], Drivers, and Software [Operating Systems, Hypervisors, and Management plane]

You will report to a Senior Manager who is deeply invested in the team's success and personal development. The work setup for this position is hybrid, requiring the new hire to be in the office 2–3 days a week, allowing for flexibility while still promoting collaboration and team bonding. Importantly, there are no travel requirements for this role, so you can focus on your work without the need for frequent trips.
Your Role
- Participate in building vendor-agnostic platform software & solutions.
- Design and develop next generation one-click Cluster Lifecycle Management capabilities in core Nutanix distributed cluster
- Engage with product managers to understand the business flow, and build solutions that meet the requirements.
What You Will Bring
- Hands-on experience participating in the design & development of at least one major feature in the above-described areas.
- Strong programming & Debugging skills in any C/C++, Python or Go.
- Good understanding of modern x86 server architectures, storage, networking technologies, operating systems, & virtualization.
- Exposure to microservice architectures is a big plus.
- A minimum of 1.8 years experience in a product company in a similar role
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 2 - 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
