 About the role
 
An exciting and immediate opportunity for a Graphic Prepress Operator to join our established Prepress team. This role will process client files for print production and focus on a premium quality standard. If you have experience with iMac’s, are service focused & enjoy functioning within fast-paced environments, this role is for you! Will also consider an apprenticeship for the right candidate. Duties include:
  • Creation & manipulation of digital files in compliance with technical specifications for various print technologies, e.g. separations & trapping 
  • Preparation for print production, including pre-flighting, proofing & soft proofing.  
  • Generation of artwork using Adobe Suite & Esko (AE) platforms 
  • Adhering to client branding guidelines or following a client brief 
  • Execute & manage workload in accordance with production schedule. 
  • Perform QA procedures for digital files & plates. 
  • Monitoring of consumables for ordering purposes 
  • Collaborate and liaise with other departments as required. 
  • Troubleshoot operating errors to determine the cause & take action to remedy issues. 
 

About you

  • Certificate 3 in Graphic Prepress or overseas equivalent (preferred) 
  • Intermediate proficiency in Illustrator & Photoshop (advanced skills preferred) 
  • Apple iMac experience (intermediate or higher skill level) 
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience 
  • Intermediate proficiency in the Microsoft Suite e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook
