This position has ownership of all demand planning analytics activities and is responsible for ensuring the demand planning process delivers a reliable statistical forecast as a key input to the stakeholders such as supply planning, finance and procurement.  He/she will focus on:

  • Leading content creation to support the monthly Demand Review as part of the S&OP/IBP process including the presentation of results based on data analytics and path for continuous improvement leveraging in data science expertise
  • Developing and fine-tunning of statistical models to produce a demand-based quantity and revenue plans for comparison against annual business plans and financial forecast updates along with the collaborative processes to gain alignment within the Demand team
  • Developing and monitoring process metrics and demand reporting package to drive process performance, problem solving and improvement
  • Identifying quantified risks within the demand plan, reviewing gaps with Customer and Trade teams and developing appropriate counter measures for resolution
  • User data expert for Excel / Blue Yonder / JDA / BI systems to deliver optimal modeling of the business and improve planner productivity by maximizing systems functionality.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, analyze and generate statistical forecasts across the planning horizon by utilizing customer prior shipments, POS data, knowledge of business unit trends, and upcoming promotions to guide decision making process.
  • Responsible for data quality management and process improvements which includes realignments, outliers correction and forecast overwrites.
  • Execute and maintain class assignment mapping to support a differentiated forecast strategy addressing ambiguity, develop approaches to new conditions, bias and deliver accurate, unconstrained forecasts.
  • Create and/or maintain statistical forecast models for each item at each stocking location and for every customer within designated product lines to achieve established forecast accuracy goals.
  • Manage S&OP control tower to review KPI performance, Alerts and Even through the Demand Planning Organization
  • Manage demand history to realign forecasts based on item version changes, customer entity changes, etc.
  • Responsible for master data flows between the different systems and between functions to support the automation of the multi-view forecast input process
  • Problem solves the highest causes of error by researching error, determining root cause and driving for improvement.
  • Partner with IT to recommend, develop and enhance systems solutions aligned with business goals and company objectives.
  • Document business processes and standard work, assist to develop system solutions and validate system designs through rigorous testing of solutions.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Analytics, or related technical field
  • Proficiency in systems and analytics either OR: Blue Yonder, JDA, SQL, Python or SAP
  • Strong Analytical/Problem Solving/Presentation Skills/ Statistical Modeling required
  • Ability to work in a high volume/fast paced environment
  • Must be able to process large amounts of data (90k+ SKU’s), influence others and drive cross-functional alignment and be able to communicate at various levels within the Organization.
  • Good communication (written, verbal and presentation) and organizational skills.
  • Strong results orientation and work ethic; Able to work independently.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and other MS office tools is essential.
  • 25% travel required to Plants, Customers and/or partner locations.
  • English proficiency or working level required
