Position Overview:

KORE Power is currently seeking a Procurement & Logistics Specialist to join our growing company.  You will help us organize and drive results within our Global team and with our manufacturing partners. As a Procurement & Logistics Specialist you will leverage your experience to liaise between KORE team members and our suppliers.  You will be self-motivated and innovative while helping to improvements in processes and procedures.

Location: United States- Phoenix AZ, Coeur d’Alene ID, Waterbury VT, or possibly remote

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Order Management/ Procurement
  • Serve as primary contact in placing orders with suppliers to meet customers’ project schedules.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for our suppliers in China and drive them to meet KORE goals and objectives.
  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and inventories match demand requirements.
  • Resolve all aspects of daily order management and unforeseen problems quickly and professionally; identify and resolve order issues.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships, visiting suppliers’ facilities, and following up with suppliers to meet committed deliverables and deadlines.
  • Work closely with global sales team to complete monthly and quarterly forecasts.
  • Analyze supplier spend and develop overall supplier negotiation and engagement strategies.
  • Develop suppliers to improve performance, manage and maintain a good supplier relationship.
  • Support Supplier auditing, negotiations, and drive compliance, all while ensuring cost, quality, capacity, delivery, and capability are met and sustained.
  • Provide regular feedback to suppliers to improve long-term and short-term performance.
  • Participate in cost-down initiatives with operations, engineering, and finance teams.
  1. Logistics
  • Provide global import/export expertise for all areas of the company’s operations across all modes of transport.
  • Transportation and third-party logistics (3PL) supplier management, including developing suppliers, managing suppliers, and interfacing with suppliers on the management of the day-to-day operations in support of the order processing.
  • Responsible for reviewing/creating customs documents, Bill of Lading, quoting, and award of transport service contracts to ensure on-time supply and cost objectives.
  • Partner with and manage the performance of freight forwarders, customs brokers, trucking companies, and others to meet objectives
  • Lead Services agreement negotiations and with logistics services providers for successfully support of our operations
  • Maintain existing and recommend new revised logistics policies and standard work and ensure continued compliance to laws and regulations as well as coordinate the proper certifications and trainings as required
  • In coordination with the corporate logistics teams, responsible for developing and maintaining company-wide standard operating procedures related to Logistics.
  • Responsible for achieving goals of 95% on-time, in full delivery and 99% fill rate.

Job Requirements

  • Language skills: English and Chinese
  • Experience with Import and Export rules and regulations
  • In-depth knowledge of Trucking, Air, Ocean transportation.
  • Self-directed team member with excellent communication skills.
  • Must possess problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • General knowledge of ERP Systems.
  • Strong project management and team leadership skills with the ability to develop support for change.
  • Strong planning skills with the ability to handle multiple projects through to completion and to manage competing priorities.
  • Skilled communicator with the ability to form and maintain good relationships both internally and externally.
  • Hazmat certified or willing to be certified in the first six months.
  • Project Management experience
  • Travel required
