Job Description

KORE has an immediate opening for a Senior Technical Documentation Specialist. This role within our Product Management team is responsible for managing and maintaining documents and records associated with our energy management product portfolio. In this position, you will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of documents throughout their lifecycle and will serve as a catalyst to establish ISO9001 compliant documentation control methodologies.  Working with other departments such as Engineering, Manufacturing, and Services; you will provide expert guidance for creating, revising, organizing, and archiving various types of documents such as specifications, bills of materials, manuals, test procedures, and technical drawings.    You may find yourself both contributing and authoring technical materials (i.e. User Manuals) as well as providing leadership at establishing best in class documentation management processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Document retention architecture: Establish a practical, scalable, and efficient approach to manage and maintain critical portfolio documentation.
  • Document creation and editing: Author and/or advise in drafting and formatting documents, ensuring they adhere to organizational standards and guidelines.
  • Document review and approval: Build and manage document review and approval processes.
  • Document distribution and tracking: Standardize distribution of document releases and updates, ensuring access to the most up-to-date versions.
  • Document version control: Implement version control procedures to manage document revisions and updates.
  • Documentation references: Create a standardized numbering and hierarchy scheme for technical documentation.
  • Compliance and audit support: Champion for document management processes that comply with ISO9001 regulations and standards.
  • Training and support: Educate employees on document management processes, systems, and best practices.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of best practices and standards for document control and recordkeeping within a product portfolio, such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or other industry-specific standards.
  • Attention to detail and expertise in establishing document templates to ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to organizational guidelines.
  • Skilled at leading local and remote colleagues through disciplined workflow structures
  • Advanced understanding of technical writing conventions
  • Ability to comprehend and clearly communicate complex technical data.
  • Advanced documentation layout and formatting skills
  • Highly motivated with ability to work independently or on a team as needed.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • At least 5 years of full-time work experience in a similar role
