KORE is looking to hire a qualified senior level process engineer to support the KOREPlex teams deliver projects on schedule and budget, and develop strategies and plans related to the battery manufacturing process, to ensure the manufacturing floor plan and production and logistic flows will follow the designed process, work closely with the equipment and project execution team to analyze the machine performance and determine the material and labor costs, ensure health and safety regulations are obeyed, and that communications channels are open; interpret data, compile reports, and deliver presentations when required. 
To ensure success you should have extensive experience in process design, excellent technical skills, and high-level analytical skills. A top-class process engineer can analyze a process system and implement simple yet effective changes to boost production. 
 
Responsibilities 
  • Meeting with production managers to assess existing processes
  • Drafting process ideas to reduce costs and improve production rates
  • Performing risk assessments
  • Designing and testing process upgrades and new process systems
  • Ensuring processes comply with safety and quality standards
  • Performing process simulations and troubleshooting issues
  • Developing routines and best practices to ensure product quality
  • Developing standardized operating instructions
  • Providing process documents and standard operating procedures.
  • Developing manufacturing flow and floor plan
  • Developing logistics flow plan
  • Assisting to develop project specifications, schedules and budgets
  • Supporting the negotiations with vendors and contractors
  • Assisting to monitor and track of project progress and reports writing
  • Reviewing technical drawings related to process
 
Requirements and skills 
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or process engineering
  • 5+ years of experience working as an industrial or process engineer in lithium-ion battery manufacturing
  • Experience with process simulations and standard operating procedures
  • High-level knowledge of process engineering software systems
  • Experience working with CAD and AutoCAD
  • Advanced technical skills
  • Analytical thinker
  • Ability to manage projects
  • English and Mandarin
 
Work Environment 
  • The job is primarily performed indoors in a traditional manufacturing and production setting. Extended periods of standing are expected.
  • Secondary job requirements include travel with fieldwork which can consist of hiking, construction work, moving heavy objects, and wearing PPE for specific tasks.
