KORE Power is currently seeking a senior equipment engineer, to support the KOREPlex teams deliver projects on schedule and budget. They develop strategies and plans related to specification and performance requirements for manufacturing equipment for lithium batteries, ensure the manufacturing floor plan and equipment design will follow the designed process, work closely with the process and project execution team to analyze the machine performance and determine the material and labor costs, ensure health and safety regulations are obeyed, and that communications channels are open; interpret data, compile reports, and deliver presentations when required. 
We are looking for a qualified senior level Equipment Engineer to support the KOREPlex teams deliver projects on schedule and budget. They develop strategies and plans related to specification and performance requirements for manufacturing equipment for lithium-ion batteries, ensure the manufacturing floor plan and equipment design will follow the designed process for the development phase, the engineer will also be responsible for developing all maintenance tasks, including scheduled and unscheduled repairs, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting. He or she will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of all activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical engineering, and experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setting. 
Job Duties: 
  • Developing specifications and performance requirements for manufacturing equipment
  • Reviewing and approving for the equipment design
  • Analyzing machine performance
  • Leading factory acceptance test
  • Supporting site acceptance test and troubleshooting
  • Supporting commissioning and handover to operations
  • Assisting to develop project specifications, schedules and budgets
  • Supporting the negotiations with vendors and contractors
  • Assisting to monitor and track of project progress and reports writing
  • Developing maintenance programs for the equipment
  • Leading all upgrades, modifications and repairs on equipment ensuring proper testing, calibration, and preventive maintenance is performed
  • Maintaining inventory of major components and supplies
  • Coordinating with vendors and consultants as necessary to solve equipment problems
Requirements And Skills: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering
  • 5+ years’ experience in equipment development and/or maintenance for lithium-ion battery manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures and systems
  • Ability to professionally supervise maintenance and repair staff
  • Strong planning and organization skills
  • Microsoft Office
  • Experience working with CAD and AutoCAD
  • Advanced technical skills
  • Analytical thinker
  • Ability to manage project
  • English and Mandarin
 
Work Environment 
  • The job is primarily performed indoors in a traditional manufacturing and production setting. Extended periods of standing are expected.
  • Secondary job requirements include travel with fieldwork which can consist of hiking, construction work, moving heavy objects, and wearing PPE for specific tasks.
