Company Overview:

KORE Power is a manufacturer and distributor of large-scale energy storage products, batteries, and chemical inputs for lithium-ion battery manufacturing.  Based in Coeur d’Alene, ID with offices around the world, KORE Power is building a large manufacturing facility in Buckeye AZ to create the first US based large scale battery manufacturing site in the US.  

Position Overview:

Oversee and lead Human Resource at the Buckeye, AZ KOREplex facility. Work with managers and partners to assess hiring needs, identify position requirements, research compensation, create job descriptions, source candidates, manage job postings, recruit, and qualify candidates, and manage the offer acceptance process. Manage a team of HR professionals.  Develop HR processes and procedures, including plant handbook for facility.  Develop and maintain internal and external relationships.  Facilitate Comp, benefits, compliance, onboarding, offboarding, and all other functions of a plant HR role.  Building, growing and fostering a successful, dominant team that will establish Kore as the leader employment in Arizona.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • All Plant HR duties
  • Executive oversite of plant talent and team
  • Work with partners to Hire, train and lead all staff
  • Partner with VP of HR to make decisions on behalf of the company
  • Collaborate with managers, departmental leadership throughout the plant to assess and grow Individual training a development plans
  • Coordinate, represent and participate in events and tradeshows
  • Provide weekly reports to VP of HR
  • Comply and support all aspects organizational processes, policies, and related employment laws and regulations related to the plant
  • Consistently track and measure results against needs and goals and make corrections when needed
  • Lead diversity initiatives with internal and external groups
  • Ready to accept additional responsibilities and contribute to the company’s overall growth and goals
  • Ability to manage a high performing team

Qualifications:

  • B.A. or B.S in Business, HR required or equivalent experience
  • 15 plus years of HR experience
  • 10 years leading a plant as the HR leader
  • Expertise in US compliance
  • Experience creating hiring plans, training plans, and safety plans
  • Experience creating a DEI program
  • Experience with compensation, payroll and benefit plans and systems
  • Experience with online applicant tracking systems
  • Experience in working in a global company preferred
  • Experience in behavioral interviewing techniques
  • Ability to multitask with flexibility to accept additional responsibilities
  • Must have strong negotiation skills
  • Must have knowledge and experience with Word, Excel and other applications
  • Ability to work independently and with teams
  • Must be highly organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent supervisory skills
  • Superior communication skills; both verbal and written
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth and ever-changing environment
