Based in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, KORE Power is a leading developer of high density, high voltage energy storage solutions for global utility, industrial and mission-critical markets.

KORE Power designs and manufactures the industry-leading, 1500V Mark 1 Energy Storage System. Developed to lower installation and operation costs with higher efficiency, the Mark 1 product includes proprietary NMC cells and modules, with innovative safety features, managed and optimized by the Mark 1 BMS.

KORE Power serves the growing demand for applications such as replacing fossil fuel peaker plants, renewables plus storage, microgrids, front-of-the-meter and behind-the-meter C&I applications, E-Mobility, UPS backup, mining energy solutions and military applications.

Position Overview:

KORE Power is currently seeking a self-motivated and innovative product manager to join our growing company and help us continue to drive new direction and create roadmap with our products. As a product manager on our dynamic and driven team, you will be responsible for driving the strategic roadmap and tactical product execution for the hardware and software components of the KORE offering, and collaborating with key stakeholders including product engineering, sales and business development, and operation.

owning the new product roadmaps and product strategies by conducting market research, competitive analysis, and crafting marketing strategies for new products to serve an expanding global market footprint.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive the entire vision and delivery of innovative new products to keep the business relevant and competitive in the market
  • Conduct market research and voice of customers to identify and define products and services requirements. Overall responsibility to ensure balance between cost and performance through rigorous data driven analysis and cross-functional review.
  • Create product roadmaps based on industry market research and knowledge, competitive landscape, and voice of customers
  • Responsible for the development, review and refinement of the product roadmaps across applications and geographical markets
  • Prioritize product opportunities using criteria and requirements defined during research
  • Formalize Market Requirements Document (MRD)
  • Establish requirements and specifications for existing and new products
  • Clearly communicate the vision and goals of existing and new products
  • Lead and participate in planning meetings and provide advice and guidance on the direction of products
  • Demonstrate functionality of completed products to internal team members and other stakeholders
  • Develop metrics to assess the success of products and features and determine necessary enhancements
  • Collaborate with customers, internal business development and sales team, and outside influencers to ensure a solid and well-rounded understanding of products and developing needs is being defined
  • Equips sales engineering with technical product details and analysis in a timely manner, and supports competitive proposals
  • Analyzes, defines and communicates value proposition as a foundational element of the overall KORE Power differentiation
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of products, solutions, and company offerings

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Preferred Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent field
  • 5+ years of product management or other relevant experience
  • Experience working in stationary energy storage or e-mobility industries
  • Experience working directly with engineers to create product concepts and verify alignment between product and market requirements
  • Ability to be creative, strategic, analytical, and think outside the box to solve problems
  • Strong project management and time management skills
  • Strong customer focus, with unwavering attention to safety and quality
  • Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, comfortable operating without day-to-day direction
  • Interpersonal skills with a keen ability to explain complex concepts across the organization and to large audiences
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office tools, including (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access)
  • Strong business and technical analytical skills required
  • Thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into technical and operational requirements
