Maintenance Manager

Location: Mason, OH

Position Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Maintenance Manager to lead all maintenance operations at our high-volume manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring maximum equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, optimizing maintenance costs through the implementation of best-in-class maintenance systems and practices supporting plant operations goals.

The Maintenance Manager will oversee all plant equipment and facilities, lead a skilled & semi maintenance team, and partner closely with operations, safety, and leadership to drive continuous improvement in plant performance.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintenance & Reliability Management

  • Lead the maintenance of all plant equipment including production machinery, refrigeration systems, HVAC, and utilities.
  • Drive reliability initiatives using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM).
  • Optimize maintenance planning and scheduling to reduce unplanned downtime and improve efficiency.
  • Evaluate and recommend equipment upgrades, replacements, and process improvements.
  • Partner with procurement to manage parts inventory and critical spares.

 

2. Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop maintenance supervisors and technicians.
  • Assign work, monitor performance, and ensure accountability.
  • Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical guidance and hands-on support for complex issues as needed.

 

3. Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards, GMPs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through training, enforcement, and leadership.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient work environment for all employees.

 

4. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

  • Manage and enhance comprehensive Preventive and Predictive Maintenance (PM/PdM) program.
  • Utilize ERP/CMMS systems to track maintenance activities and asset history.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as:
    • Equipment reliability
    • Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
    • Downtime and maintenance costs
  • Use data analytics to drive continuous improvement.

 

5. Technical Oversight

  • Oversee troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and modification of equipment.
  • Ensure timely resolution of equipment issues with minimal impact to production.

 

 

6. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and work orders.
  • Ensure proper documentation of repairs, PM activities, and equipment history.
  • Report performance metrics and improvement initiatives to leadership.

 

Qualifications

Required

  • 10+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of leadership/management experience
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Mechanical and electrical systems
    • Hydraulics and pneumatics
    • PLCs and controls systems
    • Refrigeration systems
  • Experience with maintenance systems (CMMS/ERP PM modules)
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive results
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • May Assume other duties as assigned

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or related field
  • Experience in food or regulated manufacturing environments
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
  • Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
  • Base salary range of [$102,696-$124,776];
  • Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
