Scope Of Position:

The Category Marketing Manager is in the center of defining existing business portfolio and key customer plans. You will be responsible for leading cross-functional business teams in the planning, execution and analysis of various business initiatives related to products, pricing, promotion, and packaging across multiple categories and key specific customers.  You’ll build plans to deliver on annual and longer term financial goals and you will collaborate with our retailer partners to drive category growth. You will gain exposure to all functional activities on the business including New Products, Sales, Operations, and Finance, which results in a holistic approach to driving business growth.



  • Own the P&L and understands the key leavers to increase profit.
  • Develop annual marketing plans that meet the growth objectives of the segments and key customers based on market and industry trends, SWOT, competitive review, and category review
  • Help define and manage segment strategy and customer strategy to support Sales and Business Development.
  • Create segment and customer specific marketing programs that optimizes product assortment and drive demand and category sales at the customer
  • Provide field sales the tools, materials and selling insights they need to achieve sales objectives
  • Track performance of a product categories and/or customers and analyze sales volumes, market share trends and competitive activity lead forecasting process
  • Measure, analyze, and report on success of customer marketing programs
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs throughout the selling and supply chain. Assess the impact on the customer and/or the consumer and develop recommendations to senior management.
  • Identify product and customer initiatives to drive growth and/or profitability
  • Lead end to end business processes with cross functional partners
  • Lead product management and/or cost reduction projects with internal and external resources to achieve results (product development, demand planning, trade promotions, and customer/market research).
  • Develop a strong understanding of customer strategy and shopper’s insights and integrate into annual strategic customer and segment plans.
  • Establish rapport and strong working relationships with internal Supply chain and Sales teams while also establishing contacts with and relationships with key marketing & merchandising counterparts at the customer

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration, Marketing preferred).  MBA or MA in Social Science preferred with a concentration in, marketing, or quantitative analysis
  • 2 – 3 Years of CPG related experience in Marketing, sales or analytical roles.
