About the role 

We are looking for a sharp, strategic, driven and highly experienced person to take on a leading role as one of our Client Directors, leading specific product relationships from London for Airbnb. 

You will be working with a team of experienced marketing professionals, working closely with senior clients to oversee our work as it shapes from strategy, into media planning and delivery of high-performance brand campaigns across a range of products. In your role as the Client Director you will be responsible for translating client requirements into EssenceMediacom solutions, owning the client relationship, work quality and end-to-end client experience. 

Our matrix structure will require you to work across our practice teams and existing client teams to bring together the best of EssenceMediacom in the unique context of Airbnb. You will be responsible for leading the EMEA business across eight markets (UK, FR, DE, IT, ES, CH, NL and BE), working with our local network as well as staying close to the Global account leadership who are based in NA.  

We are looking for intelligent people who can passionately represent EssenceMediacom, ensure outstanding delivery to our clients, build our profile and create new opportunities. As a Client Director you will also be playing a role in our EMX client leadership team, helping to shape the way we operate to best serve our clients, as well as supporting wider business initiatives.

Your responsibilities 

     Ensure faultless market steering, governance and quality control in line with our guiding principles.  

     Our clients are typically strategic, smart, results driven and commercial. In your role as their trusted advisor, you’ll be advising, influencing and challenging them as required to do the right thing on behalf of their brand and our teams. 

     Relationships are key, you’ll need to walk a fine line of strengthening client satisfaction and improving our people's experience. 

     Drive revenue across our key client account and support business growth initiatives. 

     Own the definition of best-in-class campaigns and ensure our work meets and exceeds our client’s expectations. 

     Oversee clear finance and commercial processes, working with clients, our global commercial and UK finance teams to deliver clean books on the account.  

     Oversee the delivery of brilliant people processes that enable exceptional personal development for our people and make them feel valued. 

     Mentor/coach others in becoming ‘trusted advisors’ for their clients, helping them take responsibility for client satisfaction in parallel to revenue generation and profitability. 

A bit about yourself 

     Cross channel planning experience favorable 

     A proven track record in defining and leading large client relationships, campaigns and teams.  

     Exceptional presentation skills, with experience of presenting and securing buy-in at the highest level. 

     Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and deliver results 

     Excellent interpersonal skills 

     You believe in open, candid and honest communication at all times, both internally and with clients 

     You believe that empowering those working with you is the best way for everyone to succeed; you look to trust, empower and coach to unleash potential 

Role Requirements:  

-       This is currently a full time position, due to the pace of the account we don’t believe anything less is manageable. 

-       4-6PM availability for alignment with US based agency and client teams.  

-       agency experiences must. 

-       regional/ global experience is preferable. 

-       proven experience on high profile, high complex clients required. 

-       degree - not needed.
