SALARY RANGE: The anticipated salary range for this role is $110,000 to $155,000 annually. This range reflects a good faith estimate based on the targeted level for the role and typical compensation benchmarks across U.S. locations. Actual compensation may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications, experience, geographical location, and internal alignment.
SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to support our Federal Civilian portfolio, with a focus on projects involving UAS/UAV systems and components. This role will manage project execution and coordination across multiple stakeholders, ensuring compliance, timely delivery, and alignment with program objectives. The Project Manager will serve as a customer point of contact (in coordination with the Program Manager) and work in a matrixed environment to drive success for mission-critical federal programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties:
- Serve as a customer point of contact for assigned projects, maintaining strong communication and stakeholder engagement while coordinating closely with the Program Manager.
- Support planning and execution of UAS/UAV-related projects for federal civilian agencies, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations; monitor progress and adjust as needed.
- Identify and report KPIs to leadership and customers; ensure transparency on project performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, compliance, procurement) in a matrixed environment to achieve project objectives.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for high-visibility programs.
- Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS and agency-specific guidelines, support audits and documentation requirements.
- Translate customer mission needs into actionable technical and operational requirements.
- Manage project dependencies and critical paths to ensure timely delivery.
- Apply project management best practices and contribute to continuous process improvement.
- Support post-project reviews and integrate lessons learned into future planning.
- Stay informed on federal policy changes, emerging technologies, and agency priorities relevant to UAS/UAV programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Travel as required based on project needs and customer location.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field or quantifiable experience for the role.
- Minimum 5–7 years of project management experience, with exposure to federal civilian programs strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of project execution and coordination in regulated environments.
- Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Excel; Jira or Confluence a plus).
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Eligibility to obtain secret security clearance required.
- Results-oriented mindset with proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Familiarity with risk management principles and KPI reporting
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or Agile certification (preferred; willingness to obtain if not currently certified).
- Experience supporting federal civilian agencies and procurement (e.g., DHS, DOJ, etc.).
- Familiarity with UAS/UAV systems and components.
- Earned Value Management (EVM) experience.
- Exposure to FAR/DFARS compliance and agency-specific guidelines.
- Experience collaborating in matrixed environments with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and federal policy trends.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The work environment may involve a standard office setting while also incorporating elements of a production area. Employees will use standard office equipment, including computers, and must demonstrate stamina to sit or stand while maintaining attention to detail despite potential interruptions. The role may require occasional activities such as walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and bending. Vision is necessary for reading printed materials and a computer screen, while hearing and speech are essential for effective communication both in person and over the telephone. Additionally, the position may necessitate travel by air or automobile. Employees may be required to use personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coats, to ensure safety in the production environment. Employees may be able to lift up to 30 pounds as needed.
