Audio Visual Technician
Description
The Technology department at DNEG is responsible for the smooth running of the entire IT estate of this fast pased and dynamic visual effects company.
The AV Technician’s remit includes all aspects of the Audio-Visual estate, including but not limited to, internal cinemas, screening, and meeting rooms. The role will require an individual to constantly maintain the AV systems while looking forward at new technologies and planning upgrades. The role will support in person, email, telephone, and ticketed requests.
The role will require flexibility in supporting onsite meetings, and events, and order multi-media activities in our London office. This will occasionally call for staggered shifts (early starts and late finishes), depending on company needs.
The role will mainly be self-sufficient in its day-to-day responsibilities but will collaborate with the internal Technology department, reporting to and working closely with the Head of Technology and senior management.
Must have:
- Good understanding of Audio-Video Systems
- Ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Excellent time management
Nice to have:
- Experience with JIRA
- Experiencing hosting live events
- Experience in building AV rooms
- Experience with managing Q-SYS systems and workflows
- Electrical and carpentry skills
- Familiar with projector technologies including Barco
- Mac, Windows, and Linux experience
- Experience with live streaming technologies
