About the Role
Responsibilities
- Generate high-quality concept art using a mix of traditional tools (Photoshop, Procreate, 3D tools) and AI-powered software (e.g., Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, DALL·E, Runway, Krea, Luma, Veo 3, ChatGPT etc).
- Interpret story briefs, scripts, and creative direction into visual storytelling concepts.
- Rapidly ideate and iterate visual styles, compositions, lighting, and design variations.
- Curate and refine AI-generated imagery into coherent, production-ready assets.
- Collaborate with art, concept, VFX, 3D, and animation teams to ensure stylistic consistency and visual alignment.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging AI tools and best practices; propose innovative ways to improve workflow and quality.
- Maintain visual coherence with the project’s creative vision and IP style guides.
- Participate in worldbuilding, lore development, and pitch visualizations when needed.
Requirements
- 3+ years experience as a concept artist, illustrator, or visual designer in the entertainment industry.
- Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in concept design (environments, characters, props) and a keen eye for mood, lighting, and storytelling.
- Proficiency with AI art generation tools and workflows (e.g., prompt engineering, inpainting, editing and upscaling).
- Solid understanding of design fundamentals: anatomy, perspective, color theory, and composition.
- Strong creative thinking, rapid ideation, and visual storytelling abilities.
- Familiarity with industry-standard tools like Photoshop, Procreate, Blender, Unreal Engine, etc.
- Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced, iterative creative environments.
- Passion for AI, emerging tech, and experimental workflows.
Bonus Skills
- Experience with animation, motion graphics, or real-time engines (Unreal, Unity).
- Knowledge of narrative design or worldbuilding.
- Technical understanding of AI model training, dataset curation, or prompt fine-tuning.
