Perforce Specialist (DNEG Virtual Production)

DNEG’s Virtual Production Department provides a cutting-edge service to clients that helps them return to the roots of film, allowing filmmakers to see what is being filmed as it happens, using Virtual Reality, Augmented reality and more.
Virtual production is quickly being adopted by the industry due to its vast benefits, more iterative workflow and ability to visualise things in a naturalistic way.
We’re looking for an experienced Perforce / source control specialist. You’ll be a leading authority on all things source control; Helping to inform key decision making on our projects. You’ll be a key part of our delivery team, working closely with IT, developers, artists, and producers to define the infrastructure architecture of our servers and depots, integrating between commit server and edge server, enabling our team to work on set with global vendors on Unreal Engine projects. Additionally, you will enforce security policies to ensure our content and our client’s IP is protected whilst managing project branching as necessary using stream depots.
The role will also include creating documentation, including network diagrams, and providing support and training to our team; setting standards and best practices for others to follow.
Responsibilities will also include taking on research and development tasks to enable us to improve our pipelines, automating tasks such as backups and build processes, working across virtual production, XR, digital humans, and games projects.
As well as being technically proficient, you will also need to be a good communicator, this role will require to run on-set collaborative demos with directors, VFX supervisors, and other VFX artists.
Must-Have
- Experience with Perforce administration
- Working on AAA games (or similar large scale experience)
- Real-time experience, ideally with Unreal Engine
Nice to Have
- Good technical knowledge of games engines
- Other source control experience such as Git
- Computer science background
- Automation and continuous integration
