The Rigging Technical Supervisor provides effective leadership and technical guidance to the local and global FEAT Rigging departments. As the primary contributor to the long-term development of the department, they are responsible for providing hands-on solutions, troubleshooting shows, and implementing new technology solutions in the context of active production work on an as-needed basis. Their development focuses primarily on rigging, carefully considering crowd and CFX, and close collaboration with stakeholders within and outside the department. The Rigging Technical Supervisor's role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the rigging team. 

 

Must-Have 

  • High level of proficiency in all technical areas of the animation pipeline. Including modular rigging, facial rigging, deterministic and simulation deformation techniques, geometry caching, etc. 
  • Excellent Python scripting skills. Adherence to coding standards, familiarity with git, and active engagement in code reviews. 
  • Fundamental understanding of Maya API 
  • Experience with animation pipeline architecture and problem-solving.  
  • A strong drive for optimization and efficiency while empowering artists. 
  • Good self-management and time management skills. 
  • Good communication and leadership skills. 
  • Strong team-working skills, supportive and collaborative when under pressure. 
  • Deep technical understanding and practical expertise in using Maya.
