HR Business Partner
Description
- Support daily HR operations for the Sydney studio
- Manage employee records, HR documentation, contracts, onboarding, offboarding, and probation processes
- Support payroll inputs, leave management, employee benefits, and HR systems administration
- Act as the first point of contact for employee HR queries, policies, and workplace matters
- Assist with employee relations, performance management, and engagement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with Australian employment legislation, Fair Work requirements, and company HR policies
- Coordinate training, inductions, internal communications, and HR reporting
- Prepare HR reports, trackers, and basic analytics for management review
- Support visa, work rights, and compliance documentation where required
- Collaborate with recruitment, operations, and global HR teams to maintain smooth people processes
- Identify opportunities to improve HR administration and operational workflows
- 2–3 years of experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Generalist, or HRBP role
- Strong understanding of Australian employment law and HR compliance
- Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail, confidentiality, and problem-solving ability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with global teams
- Proactive, approachable, and solution-oriented mindset
- Experience within media, technology, VFX, animation, or creative industries is a plus
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field
- Knowledge of visa/work rights processes in Australia
- Experience working within a global organisation
