Ingénieur Systèmes
L’équipe d’ingénierie des systèmes est responsable de la conception, de la mise en œuvre et de la maintenance de l’infrastructure centrale utilisée par l’entreprise pour l’ensemble de ses opérations. L’équipe travaille en collaboration avec l’équipe de support technique, qui gère les opérations quotidiennes et l’assistance, ainsi qu’avec les différentes équipes de support et de développement au sein du département Technologie.
La nature internationale et orientée projet de l’industrie des effets visuels génère une grande variété de défis pour l’équipe d’ingénierie des systèmes, exigeant des solutions tout aussi variées. Les réseaux, la sécurité, les infrastructures de calcul et de stockage à grande échelle, les systèmes d’exploitation, la gestion de bases de données, les infrastructures cloud, la gestion des changements et l’analyse des causes racines font partie des tâches quotidiennes.
Ce poste permet un mode de travail hybride. Le poste requiert toutefois une présence physique régulière pour intervenir sur l’infrastructure dans les centres de données et dans les bureaux de l’entreprise.
Exigences essentielles
- Au moins 5 ans d’expérience dans un rôle technique basé sur Linux
- À l’aise avec les principaux systèmes d’exploitation et leur déploiement à grande échelle
- Compétent en scripting shell et capable de lire du code dans différents langages
- Excellentes compétences en communication et capacité à échanger efficacement avec des interlocuteurs non techniques
- Capacité à analyser, diagnostiquer et résoudre des problèmes complexes en utilisant les journaux, les données disponibles et en sollicitant l’aide appropriée de l’équipe
- Attitude professionnelle au travail
Atouts
- À l’aise avec la stack ELK, Grafana, Graphite ou des systèmes similaires de collecte et de visualisation de données
- Expérience en installation physique d’équipements (racking & stacking) et en résolution de problèmes matériels liés aux serveurs et aux infrastructures réseau

Veuillez noter que ce poste est un poste syndiqué et qu'il sera couvert par une convention collective entre la société DNEG et IATSE dans les mois à venir. En tant qu’employé-e syndiqué-e, vous serez tenu-e d'adhérer au syndicat et bénéficierez des conditions énoncées dans la convention collective. Les cotisations syndicales seront exigées une fois que la convention collective sera en place.
La fourchette salariale de base pour ce poste à temps plein est comprise entre 90 000 CAD et 120 000 CAD.
Les fourchettes salariales chez DNEG sont déterminées en fonction de la fonction, du département, du niveau et du lieu. La rémunération individuelle au sein de cette fourchette dépend des compétences transférables ou liées au poste ainsi que de l’expérience professionnelle du candidat. Les fourchettes salariales peuvent être ajustées périodiquement en fonction des données du marché externe recueillies via des enquêtes menées par des tiers.
Information Systems Engineer
The Systems Engineering team is responsible for the design, implementation and upkeep of the core infrastructure the company uses for all aspects of its operation. The team works in collaboration with the Technical Support team who take care of daily operations and support, and with the various other support and development teams within the Technology department.
The project driven, multi-national nature of the visual effects industry yields a wide array of challenges for the Systems Engineering team, demanding solutions just as varied. Networking, security, massive compute and storage, operating systems, database management, cloud infrastructure, change control and root cause analysis are only some of the daily tasks.
This role would allow hybrid working. The job requires frequent physically-present infrastructure work in data centres and the company's offices.
Must have
● At least 5 years of experience in a Linux based technical role
● Comfortable with all the major OSs and their large scale deployment
● Competent at shell scripting and able to read code in various languages
● Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with non-
technical people
● Ability to dissect, diagnose and resolve complex problems using available logging, data and properly engage help from the team
● Professional working attitude
Nice to have
● Comfortable with the ELK stack, Grafana, Graphite or similar data collection/visualising systems
● Experience racking and stacking, solving physical problems with servers and network infrastructure

Please note that this is a unionized position and will be covered by a collective agreement between DNEG and IATSE, in the coming months. As a unionized employee, you will be required to join the union and will benefit from the conditions set out in the collective agreement. Union dues will be required once the collective agreement is in place.
The base salary range for this full-time position is $90,000CAD to $120,000CAD
DNEG salary ranges are determined by function, department, level, and location. An individual's pay within a given range is determined by their transferrable or job-related skills and work experience. Salary ranges are modified from time to time based on external market data collected through our third-party surveys.
