Position Overview:

The position of Principle Rendering requires a good knowledge of rendering technology, including ray-tracing and path-tracing, ideally with several years of experience in a similar role.

Candidate will significantly contribute to the field of VFX and Rendering, has expertise in physically based rendering concepts and processes and led major software projects or research groups creating new technologies. Principal Rendering works as part of the render team to develop new rendering technologies for productions across all our studios. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work the the Render Architect and the Render Supervisors to design and write different aspects of the rendering pipeline.
  • Lead research projects related to rendering to support all our studios.
  • Stay up to date on new rendering technology concepts, including the latest papers coming out of Siggraph and similar conferences.
  • Mentoring the shader writer team.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years proven experience with physically based rendering.
  • Experience researching new technologies applicable to VFX production.
  • Expert in core rendering architecture used in production softwares.
  • Team oriented personality with a proactive and positive attitude.
Nice to have:
  • Experience in the VFX or feature animation industry pipeline
  • Experience in real-time rendering
  • Familiar with some of the main 3D softwares of the industry
  • Has managed a research team focused on rendering or related technologies
