Barracuda MSP is looking for a Director, Marketing Operations & Digital to lead and grow a team of marketing professionals that will harness technology, data and process to drive efficiencies and improve results across our go-to-market teams worldwide. The Director, Marketing Operations & Digital will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of real-time, high-volume, marketing automation for Barracuda MSP. Working closely with Sales and Marketing leadership, this role will ensure operational excellence and the continuous improvement and implementation of processes, tools, training and deliverables to support Marketing efforts worldwide. This person is a Marketing leader with demonstrable ability to build and execute digital and operations strategy, drive outstanding results, solve difficult problems and innovate in the fast-moving complex world of modern, tech-enabled Marketing. As part of the Marketing leadership team, this person is a team player that can identify ways to enhance Marketing effectiveness and performance by the iterative deployment, testing and rollout of digital and operations technologies. This person has up-to-date knowledge of Salesforce CRM and Adobe Marketo Engage platform operations and capabilities across various Marketing dimensions (Digital / CRM / Attribution / Email / Marketing Ops).  This candidate has a unique blend of business and technical savvy; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously while being responsive and adaptable to deal with operational realities happening in real time. 

What you will do

  • Lead, develop and grow a team of operations, data and digital professionals to support Sales and Marketing efforts for Barracuda MSP worldwide
  • Plan and execute Digital Marketing campaigns (Adwords, LinkedIn) while managing spend and performance effectively to fit into the overall global Barracuda MSP Marketing strategy
  • Drive requirements for improvements and enhancements in operations and infrastructure including process automation to maximize team productivity, plus the implementation and coordination of on-going monitoring, tracking and alerting across all marketing activities
  • Define, approve, and enforce best practices, standards and methodology across multiple geographies to improve quality, repeatability, and on-time delivery of marketing outcomes
  • Support digital marketing activities of other Marketing teams within the Barracuda MSP organization such as list creation, email campaigns, landing pages etc.
  • Build, iterate and maintain reporting capabilities to support data-driven decision making within the marketing team and throughout the organization
  • Stay abreast of the latest marketing technology trends to identify opportunities to streamline and enhance Marketing operations and initiatives
  • Embrace ‘self-service’ architecture wherever possible to enable Marketo and Salesforce platform users to learn and harness the power of these technologies to maximum effectiveness
  • Own solution documentation, including system documentation and operational escalation processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Influence and inspire teams to collaborate effectively and promote cooperation between Sales and Marketing
  • Oversee and implement continual operational excellence initiatives


What you bring to the role

  •  7+ years experience in running and improving real-time, high-volume Marketing automation systems and digital marketing campaigns
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Excellent people management skills and experience leading small teams of marketing professionals
  • Robust project management skills with ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • Demonstrated experience in the definition and implementation of tools and processes to improve platform operations
  • Strong team player with service-oriented attitude toward external and internal audiences
  • Experience leading key initiatives against strict timelines and multiple priorities
  • Outstanding communication skills and strong executive presence, demonstrated history of presenting to internal business partners and up to the executive level (e.g. VP, SVP, CXO)
  • Website technology, analytics and management experience a plus
