We are seeking experienced Cloud Architects with a technical background, who are natural problem solvers and self-learners with a passion for creative thinking and educating others on cloud technologies. You will help customers understand how adoption of emerging cloud technologies will transform their overall business and success goals. Using your technical experience and knowledge will enable you to provide value added Agilysys solutions that help customers optimize Return on Experience. You will also collaborate with Engineering to share your learning of customer business processes and operations to further help develop Agilysys products. Candidates will have a knack for explaining technology and an ability to understand a customer’s business challenges with cloud use.
As a Cloud Architect, your job will be to provide technical leadership across a complex system of 60+ microservices spanning content, control and configuration APIs, core infrastructure, authentication and authorization, and strategic partner integrations, just to name a few. You will push for the state of the art of cloud engineering, serve as technical advisor to senior leadership, as well as subject matter expert, mentor and advisor to engineering teams. You are comfortable in front of a whiteboard, but you also love to build things. This is a hands-on role, in which you will be expected to deliver the solutions you design to production.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Clearly communicate and educate customers on SaaS and cloud solutions.
- Understand the requirements for 3rd party systems and integrations.
- Support the Sales team by preparing custom demos for specific customer use cases.
- Collaborate with Professional Services teams with implementation solutions to best meet customer business outcome objectives.
- Leverage your knowledge from customers to enhance the products.
- Hands on coding in the development of features and enhancements.
- Oversee architecture and deployment best practices in cloud environments.
- Provide creative solutions to customers’ business operations leveraging Agilysys software.
- Stay attuned to product releases and support the Sales team with updating environments/connectors to support the latest & greatest feature sets.
- Ensure cloud solutions adhere to security and compliance requirements.
- Be an active participant in RFP response development as required.
- Additional responsibilities and duties as required.
- 5+ years of experience working directly with Cloud technologies, specifically AKS.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or comparable field.
- 3+ years of experience with customer data migration.
- Desire and ability to translate technical skills into a customer-facing skill set.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Exhibit a strong passion for software development and adding customer value
