ActioNet is looking for a Senior Computer Specialist, located in Washington DC / Remote.



  • Identifying the root cause of problems, providing quick solutions to user-reported issues, assisting in software upgrade implementations, and identifying trends to help create better, more robust, and stable products
  • Interfacing with technical and non-technical users
  • Creating tickets that include details related to the analysis of the root cause of the issue, possible workarounds, and recommended software changes.
  • Engage with client and stakeholders to address issues, capture support requirements, and address impending issues.
  • Manage office relocations, device disseminations and assignments, logistics and retirement and onboarding of new personnel.
  • Facilitate actions and initiatives to best align support with expectations.
  • Prepare metrics to capture ticket closure succession and provide monthly reporting.
  • Assign resources to escalated tickets based on their complexity.
  • Active contributor to weekly meetings to discuss status, upcoming requirements and assignments, and issues/risks.
  • Adhere to and support organizational goals by implementing solutions that are both reasonable and quality assured.
  • Update and derive documentations such as: risk logs, communication plans, SOP’s and charter.
  • Oversee all support requests and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner with minimal interruption.
  • Identifying solutions and documenting the processes for remediation of issues
  • Working directly with customers using a combination of remote access tools, conference calls, and person-to-person calls

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of enterprise desktop systems support background
  • 3+ years of experience in software troubleshooting and operational support
  • 3+ years of experience installing and configuring computer systems and applications
  • 3+ years of experience working with Windows operating systems
  • Time-management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines for resolution
  • Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in working with technical and non-technical people
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
  • Good interpersonal skills with strong customer service orientation
  • Work independently on a given task with little to minimum assistance and within the framework of a team
  • Must be able to obtain a public trust clearance
