Description
ActioNet has an opportunity for an IT Security and Compliance Lead is responsible for ensuring agency’s IT infrastructure meets federal security regulations and industry best practices. This role involves vulnerability assessments, risk mitigation, and coordination with cybersecurity teams to enforce security policies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement security policies for on-premises IT infrastructure.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans.
- Work with system administrators to remediate security issues.
- Monitor IT security logs and respond to potential threats.
- Ensure compliance with federal security standards such as NIST and FISMA.
- Support security audits and incident response activities.
Basic Qualifications (Required):
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT Security, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT security and compliance.
- Familiarity with federal security frameworks (NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP).
- Experience with security tools such as Nessus, Splunk, or SIEM solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent.
- Experience with Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA).
- Knowledge of hybrid-cloud security practices.
5. Disaster Recovery and Backup Manager
Role Description:
The Disaster Recovery and Backup Manager is responsible for ensuring agency’s IT infrastructure is resilient against data loss, outages, and cyber incidents. This role oversees backup strategies, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity measures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain agency’s Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP).
- Ensure compliance with federal disaster recovery regulations.
- Monitor backup and recovery operations for mission-critical systems.
- Conduct regular disaster recovery exercises and incident simulations.
- Coordinate with IT teams to implement failover and redundancy solutions.
- Provide documentation and training on business continuity measures.
Basic Qualifications (Required):
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Continuity, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in disaster recovery and backup management.
- Expertise in backup and recovery tools such as Veeam, Commvault, or NetBackup.
- Knowledge of IT risk management and compliance frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or equivalent.
- Experience with hybrid-cloud disaster recovery strategies.
- Hands-on experience with failover testing and incident response planning.
