We are searching for a Radioactive Field Technician. Job responsibilities include:
- Performing critical thinking about safety before performing hazardous tasks
- Picking up, transporting, and handling waste/material on and off-site
- Using a barcode scanner to retrieve and store waste/material
- Utilizing air purifying and/or supplied air respiratory protection
- Operating forklifts, various waste handling equipment, and hand tools
- Operating facilities including monitoring mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems
The candidate must meet the following criteria:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
It is also desirable, but not mandatory, that the candidate meets the following qualifications:
- Two years’ experience in waste management or related activities
- Experience in operating materials-handling equipment
- HAZWOPER 40-hour training and current 8-hour refresher training. If candidate does not possess, this will be provided
- Ability to obtain a CDL with HAZMAT endorsement
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (Q)

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
Salary Range: $38,500 - $51,300 - $64,100
