The W/WW Engineering Practice Lead is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and advancing the water and wastewater engineering practice within the state of Texas with some focus on adjacent states. This individual will provide technical expertise, project management, and strategic direction to ensure the successful delivery of W/WW engineering projects. The Practice Lead will work in collaboration with the Water/Wastewater Growth Leader, cross-functional teams, mentor staff, and contribute to business development efforts to drive growth in the wastewater engineering practice.    
     
Locations: Houston, Austin, San Antonio, or Dallas    
     
Expected Outcomes:     
Technical Leadership:    
  • Provide technical expertise in W/WW engineering, including design, analysis, and optimization of water/wastewater treatment systems.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure the practice remains innovative and compliant.
Project Management:    
  • Lead, manage and oversee the management of multiple W/WW engineering projects concurrently, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Develop and oversee the development of project scopes, budgets, and schedules, and monitor progress to meet client expectations and project goals.
Team Development:    
  • Mentor and guide Project Managers, junior engineers within the W/WW engineering practice.
  • Foster a collaborative and learning-oriented environment to enhance the skills and capabilities of the team.
Client Engagement:    
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication, understanding of client needs, and delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Actively participate in client meetings, presentations, and proposal development to support business development efforts.
Quality Assurance:    
  • Ensure that all W/WW engineering projects adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular reviews and evaluations to identify opportunities for process improvement.
Business Development:    
  • Contribute to the development of the W/WW engineering practice by identifying business opportunities and participating in proposal preparation.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to promote the organization's expertise in wastewater engineering.
     
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:    
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.
  • 15 plus years of experience in water/wastewater engineering with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of water/wastewater treatment processes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Business development experience is a plus.

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors. 

Salary Range: $112,200 - $149,600 - $187,000
