About the Role  

We are looking for a Client Account Manager/National Business Development Leader to drive growth in one or more private sector markets across the United States. This role is a key part of Weston’s growth strategy to expand our portfolio of private sector clients. Existing relationships in high growth industries, Tech, Pharma, Chemical, manufacturing or related industries required. This role demands a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of environmental regulations and infrastructure trends, along with excellent communication, business development, and project management skills. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met with innovative and effective solutions.

 

Location: Mid-Atlantic or Mid-West preferred.  

 

Essential roles and responsibilities:

 

Provide overall leadership in developing long-term client relationships, building sales pipeline, partnering with operations to ensure high-quality project delivery, and to grow the capacity of the required teams to deliver exceptional value to our clients in a variety of environmental and infrastructure technical areas.

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with private sector clients across various industries.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, concerns, and project updates.
  • Partner with technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand and anticipate client needs, providing proactive solutions and support.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the private sector.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted strategies for client acquisition and retention.
  • Drive strategic, profitable, growth.
  • Active in appropriate associations, conferences, networking events to expand company’s presence
  • Stay informed about legislative changes, funding opportunities, and competitive landscape.
  • Mentor Project Managers and Seller/Doers

 

Drive development and growth:

  • Must be highly motivated, a self-starter, and drive results.
  • Lead internal and external messaging.
  • Assist in staff recruiting and mentoring.
  • Maintain flexibility in a continuously changing and fast-paced environment.
  • Translate highly technical information so that non-technical decision makers can understand risks and opportunities related to sustainability projects and Weston’s offering.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, planning or related technical field. Master's Degree preferred.
  • 10+ years' experience with industry clients, in a strategic business development leadership position.
  • Broad understanding of current and emerging environmental and infrastructure needs of those clients.
  • Highly collaborative and willing and able to work with many stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employee-owners, clients, and community leaders.
  • Growth mindset with 5+ years of demonstrated success in business development and sales.

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.

 

Salary Range: $135,900 - $181,100 - $226,400
